Reasons for appearing

The cause of warts is an infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV). This happens during intercourse, the passage of the child through the genital tract of an infected mother during childbirth.

Papillomavirus

Possible budget transmission route. The virus is resistant to harmful environmental factors and can linger on washcloths, towels, and clothing of infected people. When another person uses such objects, the microorganism easily penetrates even with minor skin damage.

Sometimes self-infection occurs when virus particles are transferred from one part of the body to another (e. g. when shaving, during hair removal).

Papillomavirus has more than 100 strains (types), a person can be infected with several of them at the same time.

Location, appearance of warts, the likelihood of developing a malignant process depends on the type of HPV.

Viruses can remain asymptomatic in the body for up to several years after infection. Papillomas on the skin, mucous membranes begin to grow against the background:

  • decrease in immune defense;
  • hypovitaminosis;
  • aggravation of chronic diseases;
  • psycho-emotional stress;
  • hormonal changes (for example, during menopause, during pregnancy);
  • unhealthy diet, including excessive consumption of carbohydrates, fatty, fried foods.

Treatment of papillomas with folk remedies

The most effective alternative medicine contains herbal ingredients. Treatment of papillomas by alternative methods can be carried out only after consulting a doctor, excluding these from the malignant nature of the growth. These measures do not lead to the disappearance of the virus itself from the body, they are only aimed at eliminating the external manifestations of the infection.

Papillomas on the neck and other parts of the body cannot be torn off, cut off or rewound with a thread. Injury to warts, cauterization of which can be done with formulations without medical supervision, can lead to the development of an oncological process. You can not apply such funds on the eyelids and mucous membranes in order to avoid the appearance of burns.

Treatment of papillomas with celandine

At home, fresh leaves, pressed juice and the infusion of the plant bought in a pharmacy are used. Before starting treatment for the papilloma, you need to steam the area where it is located and lubricate the skin around the neoplasm with a fatty cream and oil.

The wart is smeared with sap, the process is repeated every 2 days for a week, after this time the growth should disappear.

A celandine infusion with olive oil is used. For its preparation, the herb is collected during the flowering period, cut into small pieces and poured with oil in equal proportions. The remedy is for a month, they are lubricated with skin growth 4-5 times a day, until the warts are shed.

Dry celandine is mixed in equal proportions with thuja shoots, potato sprouts and alcohol. The composition is maintained for 2 weeks, papillomas are smeared with it once a day.

Other recipes with plants

If there are papillomas on the neck, other areas of the skin, tea tree, lemon and liquorice oils are applied to their surface once a day for 2 weeks. An aloe leaf cut lengthways is sometimes stuck with a plaster on neoplasms for 4 hours. Instead of aloe, you can use kalanchoe. This plant is kept on the surface of the wart for 8-10 hours. The manipulation is repeated for 10 consecutive days.

Dandelion tincture used to treat papillomas

When warts appear, a mushy composition of crushed garlic, flour or cream is sometimes applied to them for 3 hours. The product is washed off with water, the skin is washed with soap.

To make a dandelion tincture, the flowers of the plant are poured into a glass, doused with alcohol and left for 14 days.

The dandelion remedy is used to lubricate skin growth 4-6 times a day.

Dried plants are mixed in equal parts, take three tablespoons of full collecting spoons and brew them with a liter of boiling water. The remedy is taken before each meal for 10 days.

Non vegetative folk methods

Some people smear the affected area with a cotton swab dipped in ammonia.

Also prepare a mixture of 2. 5 g salicylic acid ester of acetic acid, the same amount of iodine, 2 g boric acid and 100 ml alcohol. The composition is applied to the warts 2-3 times a day.

Treating warts and papillomas with medication at home

Medications can be prescribed by a doctor after an examination that confirms that a person has HPV. Drug therapy helps increase immunity and decrease viral activity in the body. The action of some pharmacy products is aimed at removing skin build-up.

Antiviral, immunomodulatory drugs

To combat HPV, the doctor prescribes pills, capsules and injections of drugs that suppress the reproduction of microorganisms in tissues. Used at home:

  • Specific antiviral agents.
  • Inducers(stimulants) of interferon synthesis.
  • products that contain interferon.
  • Non-specific immunomodulators.

If human papillomavirus is detected in women and condylomas are present, vaginal suppositories are used.

Local preparations with which papillomas can be removed

Treatment with these means at home is carried out only after a medical examination, with the exception of a malignant process in the wart area.

Preparations should not fall on healthy areas of skin or mucous membranes, otherwise burns and scars can occur.

Cauterizing drugs, when applied to papillomas on the neck and other parts of the body, causenecrosis(death) of cells due to the presence of active chemical components in the composition. They are used to smear warts with a special applicator, a thin wooden stick. The frequency of manipulations depends on the size of the growth.

An antiseptic preparation containing silver nitrate has a necrotizing effect on the tissue when applied topically. It is used on different parts of the body, with the exception of the face and mucous membranes. It should be borne in mind that, for example, it does not eliminate the cause of papillomas under the armpits, and its treatment is aimed at eliminating the external manifestations of the pathology.

Flat, common warts, including those on toes and feet, use a product that contains propane, dimethyl ether, and is enclosed in a metal bottle.

When liquefied gases leave the container, they create a temperature of -57 ° C, when applied locally to the skin, the tissues are frozen.

The product packaging contains 12 disposable plastic applicators with holders. The latter allows you to reliably limit the affected areas of healthy tissue. A burning sensation and tingling sensation are normal during the procedure. After 10-14 days, the frozen tissue falls off. If one operation is insufficient, the manipulation is repeated.

The drug should not be used if there are neoplasms in areas with thin skin (genitals, eyelids, chest area). Neck papillomas should not be removed with this method alone.

Treatment of papillomas with hardware methods

The doctor can recommend the treatment of warts and genital warts in specialized clinics. The latter use the following methods:

  • cryodestruction;
  • chemical coagulation;
  • electrocoagulation;
  • radio wave therapy;
  • laser therapy;
  • plasma coagulation.

Cryodestruction- freezing the tissue with liquid nitrogen. The latter is applied to a special applicator that is applied to the papilloma. After a while, the neoplasm darkens and disappears. When using this method, it is extremely difficult to control the depth of wart exposure. A second procedure may be required. Sometimes scars remain after cryodestruction.

Chemical coagulation is carried out with preparations that contain concentrated acids. The latter cause necrosis of the treated tissue. The solution is used to get rid of common plantar warts and genital warts.

Electrocoagulation-Exposure of tissues to high frequency current, which leads to irreversible coagulation of proteins in them. This is a traditional technique of removing neoplasms on the body, the risk of infection, bleeding is extremely small.

A special device is used for radio wave therapy. The impact on unaffected areas is minimal, the chance of bleeding is minimal. In women, treatment is carried out in this way when there are condylomas.

Perform laser therapy

With the help of the device, electrical current is converted into radio waves that break down soft tissues in different parts of the body.

During laser therapy, the neoplasm evaporates under the influence of the laser beam. The method is used in the treatment of papillomas on any part of the body, including the presence of genital warts. Bleeding after the procedure was not performed, laser beams destroy microorganisms in the area of their application, the treated area is not infected.

Scars after laser therapy are extremely rare.

If a woman has an intraductal papilloma of the breast, which is a precancerous disease, surgical treatment is given. A sectoral resection is performed - removal of part of the breast with altered ducts.

In the treatment of papillomas at home, folk methods and drugs are used. In specialized clinics, neoplasms are removed using hardware methods. Before treating warts, it is necessary to consult a doctor and conduct a recommended examination.
